Training

All dogs starting gundog training with us, have attended Jo’s indoor classes first and passed these, before they can attend the gundog training.  This equips the dogs with a reliable clicker retrieve and with excellent basic obedience training - and equips the handlers with essential knowledge for training their dog.

Assessment

Jo is an accredited Assessor with The Gundog Club, so she is licensed to assess The Gundog Club's graded tests.  Students are extremely successful at The Gundog Club's tests, with the majority gaining Merit and Distinction grades.  

We have permission from both the Kennel Club (UK) and the Kennel Club of Jersey, to hold the KC's Working Gundog Certificate in Jersey.  We plan to do so when we have sufficient dogs of a suitable level, to fly a judge over.

Some of our students go to the UK to train and compete.  So far, we have had HPRs passing their Natural Aptitude Tests in the UK with high grades and a retriever winning out of pre-Novice in a gundog working test.
